Q. Can I use NEXAGEN with only NEXAGEN Skills installed?
A. No. Connect the NEXAGEN MCP first. Skills are instructions that help your AI use the MCP tools correctly. -> Getting started

Q. Does installing Skills cost credits?
A. Installing is free. Credits are charged to your NEXAGEN account when paid generation (image, video, music, voice) runs.

Q. Do I need to learn the 62 tools?
A. No. Ask for the result you want in natural language; the Skill picks the right features and order.

Q. Is a Cinematic Skill (directing technique) the same as NEXAGEN Skills?
A. No. A Cinematic Skill (directing technique) is a directing feature inside NEXAGEN; NEXAGEN Skills are workflow instructions installed in your AI app.

Q. Can I see the cost before generating?
A. Music and voice have estimate tools (the final charge is shown on the job); images use the engine's per-image price. Video kinds have no pre-submission estimate, so the account's per-request limit is shown and the estimated credits are reported with the submission.

Q. Can it put music or narration on my video?
A. There is no public mux tool. Music and voice are separate files; combine them in the NEXAGEN app or an editor.

Q. Can it create a new workspace?
A. There is no public tool for that; create it in the NEXAGEN app. Existing workspaces can be read and continued with image/video generation.

Q. My upload does not work.
A. Uploading needs an HTTP PUT of the file outside MCP. In chat apps that cannot do this, upload in the NEXAGEN web app and pick the file from your library. -> Troubleshooting

Q. Can I install just one Skill?
A. Yes. Each Skill folder includes the shared core policies, so the safety rules stay. Requests that belong to other Skills are handled better with the Complete Pack.

Q. Which AI apps are supported?
A. Claude, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT (desktop app), and other AI apps that accept Markdown instructions. -> Getting started
