0. Connect the NEXAGEN MCP

Add the remote (Streamable HTTP) MCP server under [mcp_servers.<name>] with url in ~/.codex/config.toml, using the address from NEXAGEN's official MCP connection guide.

1. Install the Skills

Codex supports Agent Skills (SKILL.md folders).

1. Unzip; skills/ contains the nexagen-* folders.
2. Repository: copy them to <repo>/.agents/skills/.
3. Personal (all repositories): copy them to ~/.agents/skills/.
4. The initial skills list uses only part of the context (about 8000 characters); all Skill descriptions are sized to fit.

2. AGENTS.md (optional)

AGENTS.md in the ZIP is a short routing summary for NEXAGEN requests. Append it to your repository's AGENTS.md if you like. Codex reads AGENTS.md only up to 32 KiB by default, so the Skills are shipped as Skill folders instead of one large AGENTS.md.

3. Check

Ask "Continue the work in this workspace", or invoke $nexagen-workspace-manager directly.
