NEXAGEN Video Creator
Text-to-video, image-to-video and video rework/extend on a canvas.
Makes general video clips on a canvas: a new clip from a description, an animated finished image, or a reworked/extended finished video. Checks the engine's duration, resolution, aspect and reference support first. If no engine is named, Magic automatically selects a high-quality workflow from curated top-tier models for the prompt, input assets, length and options; you can still name a specific engine.

How it works
The actual order defined by the Skill's policy.
- 1Decide new clip / animate / rework
- 2Check canvas and nodes
- 3Pick the engine (Magic when none is named) and validate options
- 4Confirm options and the estimate_video cost
- 5Submit, then wait until it is done with wait_for_job (call again on timeout)
- 6Deliver result

Credits
Canvas video credits are checked before submission with estimate_video (free; the same server calculation as the credit hold). Video Lab 4K upscale (upscale_video) shows the server quote.
Installing Skills is free. Credits are charged to your NEXAGEN account only when paid generation runs.
Current scope
Good to know, based on the currently public tools.
- All general video tools need a canvas.
- estimate_video covers canvas video (generate_video / generate_video_from_image) only.
- No public tool adds music or voice to a video.
- upscale_video accepts only finished NEXAGEN Video Lab videos (job_id). For canvas clips use upscale_4k=true at generation.
- The plan's concurrent generation limit is account-wide: Video Lab, Canvas, AD Studio and MCP video share it. MCP videos over the limit wait in the queue.
- There is no push notification on completion; wait_for_job waits until the job is done.

FAQ
- Do I have to choose a video engine?
- No. Without an engine, Magic automatically selects a high-quality generation workflow for your inputs and options. If you name an engine, that engine is used.
- What if I have no canvas?
- An existing canvas is looked up first; otherwise a new free canvas is created with your consent.
- Can you add music to the video?
- There is no mux tool. Music is made separately with Music Producer and combined in the app or an editor.
- Will it resubmit if it takes long?
- No. It checks the existing job and gives you the job id.
